My goal is to improve my writing skills, particularly my spelling. I aim to complete assignments with minimal spelling errors. I will know I have achieved my goal when I can write 5 to 10 sentences without needing assistance with spelling. When working on my computer, I will ensure I use spell and grammar check to edit my work. This goal is realistic and worthwhile, and I hope to accomplish it by the end of the year.
My learning skill goal is to work on my academic responsibility, especially staying on task during class time to complete my assigned work. I will use my resource time effectively for homework tasks as well as completing any work from class that I need additional support with. In classes where my interest level is lower, I will proactively use the learning center to reset, and speak with Ms.M to try to reset my mindset and try to complete the task. This is important because when I move into Grade 8 and High School I will need to be academically responsible as high schools do not have the same level of support.
